Got out today for some evening miles at Humboldt Park, and boy did it feel good! It was such a relief to be near the finish of not just the August Walk Challenge, but the August Running Challenge as well which I will mention in a separate publish going into the weekend. After today’s walk I am sitting at 25.80 miles out of 31.06 for the August Walk Challenge. I want him! I l do need a travel buddy, and I love Patrick! If I see him again he is coming with me.

Glad you are still walking in the area. Enjoy!
i cannot tell you how much that insidious cartoon irks me. That one and Barney send me up the wall sideways.
It was on frequently in my house, i ended up getting the kids their own TV.
Lol, that’s funny. I love it because I can be depressed or pissed off, but spongebob can always cheer me up.
well i was an adult with kids when that appeared, different bias.
The silliness of it is what gets me. You have a sponge that is dizzier than a blond, and patrick is just dumb. The characters around them both are the ones that add common sense. I just shake my head when I watch it.
i have nightmares about that show, Barney and others. Although Barney did teach my kids to always say please and thank you
Lol, I had a autistic client that lover Barney, so every time I worked I watched Barney. Barney was the only thing I could deal with, but I loved his Disney collection like Mary Poppins, Songs of south, Muppet Treasure Island, etc. I believe I wrote about him a while back. I’ll always remember him when i watch Disney. I sing a lot of that stuff now too, lol.
I meant could not deal with
children watch things over and over, my issue was the constant repetition more than anything.
I cannot stand the portrayal in the Chicago news because they only show the negative things about Humboldt Park, and you are walking there with no issues this evening.
I say it is one of the best Latin Amer/African American neighborhoods in Chicago. I love it because of its Puerto Rican vibes, resources, and of course this park. It does have its parts, but you can easily point them out because you’ll see individuals hanging out as though they have no job. The park is where you’ll encounter the diversity of Humboldt.
