Children’s Ministry Memories

I took Childcare classes as well as Cretive Writing classes in College, my major was originally going to be Childcare until I switched to English but I digress for nearly a decade I worked as a Children’s Ministry teacher perhaps one of my most rewarding experiences apart from the time I worked with the Severly Handicapped in Highschool and of course the time I spend with my nieces and nephews.  It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started to focus on my writing full time.

I worked with Children of all ages and this quote I used to accompany this picture is so appropriate:

“We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.  Franklin D. Rosevelt

We of course did lots of arts and crafts hard to believe this little girl is now in her final years of highschool.  How time flies

And he turns seventeen in November

Little Miss big brother Big E is going into his Sophmore year of highschool!

And these kids are growing up way to fast too in fact the girl has already graduated high-school!

Of course we had Praise and Worship!

Another one of the girls almost grown now!

And these two

Of course we had kid pile ups lol!

And yes even tantrums

These children gave me so much, some of them sadly did not have easy lives, but they all gave me so much more than I could give them.
