I was a bit surprised to see my purple mums budding out but then a week later the yellow ones had buds. It wasn’t just two or three buds, the plants are loaded! It is a bit early for mums to bloom around here, as they are thought of as a Fall flower. Regardless of that, I have had two of my three pots of mums bloom already in the middle of June!
Do you have mums in your yard or garden? What time of the year do they usually bloom in your area?

Ha, what a true statement and probably more significant today than way back when.
Yes, my chrysanthemums or mums have yellow flowers just like yours, reminds me to trim them back, they bloom in summer and here they have died back as it is winter..I like these flowers.
Mine really enjoyed the spring and more than tripled in size this spring. I am looking forward to some more Fall blooms!
Mauve is a pretty color. It is probably what I have above and called purple. Ha!
I think they are very nice in your yard.
Flowers are pretty here or there.
Flowers are pretty anywhere.
Pretty flowers are everywhere.
Says Sam I am.
Do you remember those Dr. Suess lines?
No mums in my garden. They usually sell them in pots in fall. I never thought that I could actually grow them. I guess I should try.
They are very easy to grow! i bet you would have good success with them!
Very beautiful flowers I love mums.
I do too! I usually get purple and gold for the LSU Tigers and sport their team colors!
In our country, these flowers do not bloom until autumn.
That is when they normally bloom here also! I was very surprised.
I really like your mums. I do not have any in my garden.
They are very easy to grow and can survive a mild winter in the south. This was the first time mine came back up! I did bring them inside for the winter though. They died back and looked DEAD but sprouted out once the pot his the outdoors again in the spring.
So pretty! The weather ia crazy and is driving plants crazy too, I guess.
Something is indeed going on! I have been saying for a couple of years that the seasons were changing or shifting. They normally bloom in August thru beginning of November here. So this is odd indeed!
That’s so strange indeed!
we don’t have mums this year, although we have had them in the past.
your plants are beautiful!!!
Thank you very much for your compliment! I do appreciate it.
you are most welcome – we have to fill the world with beauty like this!
How is honey?
She is coming right along. She got in the garden yesterday but knew she was in trouble. I don’t think she damaged anything thankfully!
sounds like she is learning the rules!
Lovely colours. I have them in my garden. I had many colours but at the moment I just have the mauve colour.
