The Trumpet Lily – African Queen is a wonderfully fragrant, award winning Lilium plant. I saw this plant on a visit to our Botanical Gardens and fell in love with it immediately. The African Queen lily stands out among others for its large orange-like colored flowers that hang downward and outward. This plant produces an abundance of blossoms, about 15 to 20 per stem, for long lasting blooms and reach up to 6 feet tall. Intoxicating fragrance and large attractive blooms make the African Queen a spectacular lily.
so pretty and so tall, I just took pictures of similar looking flowers but they are not lilies.
Yes they are flowers that look similar like the Datura
It’s a beautiful lily. I have ordinary lilies in the garden which are not so pretty.
Me too so I can only see these at the botanical gardens
The flower is indeed charming, in your cool picture. Btw, I don’t need to kiss the Queen’s hand as honorarium manners, right?
Not necessary but I am sure it will be appreciated.
great picture, I love seeing flowers like this when it is cold outside!
It sure brightens up these cold dreary days
ot really did -thank you for that!

They are favorites of mine even though I don’t have any in my garden.
We also grow lilies here, but I don’t know if they are African
There are so many types of lilies, this one is a bit unusual.

I love them too and I am always on the look out for different varieties
