Is Captain America an American proganda character?

<a href="https://www.letsprintbig.com/products/fathead-style-captain-america-figure-wall-decals-removable-repositionable-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Source</a>

Luc Besson who is the director of the movie “Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets” which did not fare well in North America when it was released earlier this year in theaters believes that Captain America is an American propaganda tool to show U S supremacy worldwide.

I understand that Luc who is a native of Paris France may have a beef against the Captain America character who in the Marvel Super Heroes Hour cartoons in 1966 alongside his partner James “Bucky” Barnes battled evil during World War II.

Okay so maybe Captain America the character’s time of battling villains during the World War II era is now a distant memory. Maybe that is why he has a beef with Marvel Studios dominating the entertainment world with super hero shows on the internet, movies and television.

I do remember when I did see the Marvel Super Hero Hour cartoons in the former Canal Zone in Panama on the Southern Command Network (SCN) television on Saturday mornings since for obvious reasons no Panamanian television station would carry the Captain America cartoons since they had the Justice League Of America cartoons on television at that time. I did enjoy seeing the adventures of Captain America and Bucky Barnes battle the villains on television.

Luc should know that a cartoon named “Miraculous Ladybug And Cat Noir” who are super heroes who battle crime in Paris France are loved by the fan base worldwide which are mostly teenagers.

Luc likes his heroes to have flaws like any human being not super heroes who represent America. I could just see Luc having a beef over my original characters Donna and Debi Isthmus and their close family friend Panama Squirrel if famous worldwide like the Marvel and D C super heroes as propaganda characters who represent Panama.

I can relate to the flak that Besson is taking from Marvel and D C super hero fans that he is just is not in touch with the times like I have caught flak from Supergirl fans who are angry at me for boycotting that television show because there are lesbian characters on the television show.

Well excuse Supergirl fans, I have my taste in super hero shows that teach teamwork and resemble the singing group Sister Sledge who have that hit record “We Are Family.” Okay so I am not in 1966 anymore but my morals will stay the same of writing fan fictions of super hero teamwork and not a remake of a horror story.

Just for the record, the studios are giving the audience who are younger than myself what they want. Heroes with attitude. I will be happy being happy and you be happy with your soap opera hero shows.

  1. I like Captain America, although from the looks of his shield he should be called “Captain Puerto Rico” since its their flag in the center. I love Wonder Woman but would have no problem taking my kids to see two lesbian superheroes fighting evil. Diversity and pluralism, it’s what makes America great.

    • Whatever gets your ship through the Panama Canal is fine with me since a lot of Green Arrow fans my satire name “Green Means Go Arrow” or my original character Panama Squirrel since she is nicknamed The History Nut.
