My schoolmate and former active blogger from Virily known by her username gracianna, has rockin’ the judges’ decision to win her first runner-up in the prestigious talent show contest from Phuket, Thailand called “Stargazer”.
Stargazer is an open talent show to all Thai community and all expats who live in Thailand. Just like the world’s famous Got Talent franchises, it also brings a variety of talents from dancers, singers, bands, acrobats, or actors, who were scored and crowned as winners by professional judges and spectators. Its goal is to create an opportunity for new individuals and groups to promote and perform their extraordinary talents.
Stargazer Talent Contest is now on its fourth year and Grace joined the audition and luckily made it to the finals last April 21, 2018. She bagged the prize with 20000 bahts ($635.56) in the finals.
This year, 35000 bahts ($1112.12) and a trophy from Stargazer was awarded to Daisy and Alvin Royo Tumulak for the first place, and the third place was awarded to Andaman dancers with their energetic break-dancing group performance.
Grace Miraflores was my former schoolmate in my local high school alma mater Hinigaran National High School, and I’m one of her friends who proudly says “Congratulations Mary Grace and Mabuhay!”

Once again, Filipinos have showed the world how talented we are. World class talents are here in our country. I home they will be given better opportunities to share their gifts. Sometimes, they have to prove themselves in foreign countries just to be appreciated.
