If you like to decorate your home in the country farmhouse style, I have two “grate” DIY projects for you today! The first one is a super cute utensil caddy that doubles as a towel holder as well. The second is an adorable jewelry holder that would be awesome in a teen’s bedroom. Or you could fancy it up a little bit, and it would fit right in on Mom’s vanity table or bureau.
If you haven’t already guessed, these two projects start off with the same humble kitchen tool: a box cheese grater.

DIY Utensil Caddy
Who doesn’t need better storage ideas for their utensils and wooden spoons? This awesome country kitchen DIY will take you through the steps for turning a cheese grater into a cute utensil caddy with a bonus kitchen towel holder.
This project uses several different paint products to distress the wood and make the finish on the grater look rusty. But you could just use whatever you have on hand, or pick colors that match your kitchen color scheme.
DIY Jewelry Holder
Got an old grater that needs replacing? No problem! Just paint it and turn it into a jewelry caddy!
This DIY project is really popular for earrings but if you add a couple of hooks, you can also use it to organize necklaces and bracelets too. The feet aren’t really necessary because the grater stands up on its own. But they do make it look cuter, and you could add beads that match the decor in your bedroom. Check it out!
pretty cool ideas there, when I get my kitchen set up like I want I’ll
be looking for ideas like this hoe you get more on here to watch.
We use them
I also use a box grater for cheese and vegetables. I have one of those crank operated cheese graters, but I don’t like it as much.
cool, idea, 😀
I totally want to do the first one. I just don’t have anywhere to hang it.
This is so cool!
The creativity of some people is really amazing! I love to share all these great upcycling and DIY projects.

Thank you so much, Elenka!

Thank you!
I am not very creative unfortunately.
I would never think of half of these projects. I am a dreamer, but not creative. I love to use the DIY tutorials though. Often, it’s super easy!
Superb
Thanks so much, Olga! Did you ever make some crafts from a cheese grater?
