Kim Johnson’s Just for Fun Week 3 challenge continues with the subject being anything man made.
This birdbath is in my backyard. It was made using bricks and the water is held by a planter tray. Seems to work good as I can bring the water hose to the birdbath, clean it, and fill it up with water. All done. But I have to do this every day except for the last few days. The rain has helped out. Easier than most bird baths. Water is so important to have year round if you want to have birds visit your yard. There was a bluebird in the water on this cold day. Funny you cannot see him for all of the water bubbles. He had a fun time in the pool. Nature has so much to offer. I try to take advantage when I can.
they love to play in the water no matter HOW cold it is
they don’t really care what is out there for them to play in
as long as it’s something that they feel safe on or in, so
you came up with a great thing for them & being it’s red
will surely get their attention as well too.
Lovely to have such friends in your backyard. Animals and birds need water. They know a kind person lives here.
Yes indeed, I love the animals and nature. You are kind as well, thank you.
They know where to come when they are thirsty .
I try to provide food and water.
This is such a fun photo. Love the DIY Bird BATH!! wtg!! The birds do love it you can tell, and what’s not to love.
Thanks Kim, they are so entertaining to watch in the water.
I heard a SpLaSh! I thought saw bubbles! Do I smell freshwater? Grin. Look out little bird…>-=^;>
There you are with your smiles for the day! 🙂
I got excited! Sorry about the puddles…and turning your bird bath into a bird SpLaSh!…>-=^;>
The whole place in your house is a miracle! If I put water that way, until the container is mossy no bird ever came. Hey! This is a great picture!!!
You and your kind words are so appreciated. It was an action shot I wasn’t sure I would get, it only lasted a few seconds! You have to change it every day. Fun with nature. 🙂
I will learn seriously for this!
I really enjoyed in this post
Thank you very much David.
Thanks, it was definitely an action shot!
I really enjoyed seeing this image on this site.
Thank you very much, I am glad.
My pleasure to praise you for your outstanding work.
The birdbath looks like birds would love it. Love it!
Yes they enjoy it year round LaJenna, thanks!
Very cool….and that’s a wonderful photograph! 🙂
It was a cool thing to witness, love to watch them splash!
How delightful it must have been to see him splashing about in the sunshine!
Oh my goodness, I love watching these birds and if I keep clean water out they come year round! I actually clean ice out of it during the winter.
I admire you for the care of small birds
You are sweet, it brings me happiness and healing to do for them.
Such a cute photo! It’s amazing how a pile of bricks and a planter tray can be so full of life! I think this photo is exactly what this challenge is all about. Well done!
Thanks Ellie, I thought the same thing. While trying to find something for this challenge I thought about this man made birdbath! The birds have so much fun.
