Sharing is Caring Challenge: The Long-Eared Owl

ellie started the Sharing is caring challenge. I thought this post would be a great one to add to it. I think the rules are just about sharing a thought or photo etc.

The photo is from “The Encyclopedia of North America Birds.” I found a great bird that I think will interest all my readers. it is a long-Eared Owl. It lives in wooded areas, and seems like he could camoflage himself easily. It is relatively uncommon bird.

Michael Vanner Illustrated the book where I got this photo out of. He spend many years studing the wild life of North America. He lives in France now. If you are a bird lover think about buying his book about North America birds. The photos are amazing. Over 500 species fully illustrated! The Long-Eared Owl has beautiful marking.

  1. Very beautiful bird, I have always loved owls. One of my most special memories is when I touched an owl. Thanks for sharing this post! The idea of the challenge is to share helpful posts and everyone is welcome to join.
