I have a rose bush planted in Dustin’s garden in my backyard. Each year it produces more and more blooms. I always scatter the blooms on his memorial angel to dress things up a bit. I also pick a bouquet every few days to bring inside. I think he would approve. Whatever makes his Momma happy, he is ok with. This garden brings smiles every day from early spring when the rose bush starts to bud all the way through October when the final rose blooms.
This is so beautiful and so touching, Carol! 😀
Thanks very much Norman, very special.
I didn’t know the profile picture was his grave marker with the petals scattered on it. I had commented on the soft focused one on your profile, never knowing what it truly was. This shot shows the detail. I love them both. What a great idea to do, and it looks so wonderful.
It is not his grave marker. He is buried in a noter state with my family. This is in his garden in my backyard. A memorial stone with an angel. Thanks Kim.
Oh okay. What a great idea. Really. I would love to do this once I get a permanent home. My dad was cremated and has no grave marker.
It helps me since his grave is far away.
Lovely view and lovely thought.
Thanks so much Pamela.
The loveliest Pink for Dustin! “Thank you, mama!”
You are too much Albert. Thank you!
Never! Never too much! Just as it is.
Another very special photo, thank you for sharing them with us here.
Thanks to you for your kind words Courtney.
That’s a nice shot. I recognize it from your cover image
Thanks, I have many of them, this one has a little too much contrast.
Even on a properly calibrated monitor, contrast is tough to get right. You’ll get some of the piece spot on but one part of it still over or undersaturated…
Yes you are exactly right! I have it on a soft focus for my profile.
Calibration is a difficult task even for a professional. I found a way around it…
Very beautiful indeed my friend. My one daughter gave me a rose bush for mother’s day, and I will always love it.
How special, and for Mother’s Day, makes it even more special.
I know this garden is very special for you. And of course it is full all year round with flowers.
YEs it is and thank you so much for being my friend.
