I was recently given a dare from Lajenna to write a poem using a Pixabay photo. You can find the details here: LaJenna’s Challenge. First of all, I am not a poet by a long shot. But I do have words from my broken heart I like to share from time to time. When I saw the photo below I instantly thought of Dustin. He loved to fish. There is a bird in the tree behind him and look at that sunset. What a perfect photo. Thank you LaJenna for challenging myself with this dare. Amazing how quickly the words come to me when I think of Dustin. He is definitely my inspiration to write.
Sweet summer wind
blows loving memories
birds fishing sunset
all good thoughts coming my way
happy times fun times
laughter joy love in the air
my buddy my son my heart
come again soon
sweet summer wind

Amazing click, heart touching poem.
That really brought the tears to my eyes. What a lovely photo and tribute.
Thank you Barbara, it was straight from the heart. This photo really touched me in so many ways.
I can imagine it did. It also reminded me of Jason, who liked to fish when he got a chance.
Well maybe you should join this challenge, it is simply pick a Pixabay photo and write a poem.
Maybe, but I’m not currently in a mental state where I can hear my poetry muse.

Thank you, I am inspired by my son.
That’s a great poem. It has been a long time that I haven’t done like this. Perhaps I am not that inspired.lol c”,)
Much appreciated. My inspiration is from my broken heart.
I also have the same inspiration with a broken hear, too. But then, I don’t want to experience again as much as possible.
I never want that experience again but I have lost many loved ones.
My last relationship was terrible. She broke my heart big time.
So sorry. My losses and broken heart have been my son, and siblings and parents.
These are so powerful and filled with many love words
Thank you so much my dear friend.
Allow me to feel moved by the beauty of a sincere heart in these lines of your words.
Thank you for dropping by and reading my friend.
You are always welcome, Carol. Hope you soon write the poem again as soon as possible, again and again.
