While celebrating Christmas with our entire extended family at my elder sister’s residence, I went around looking for photo objects.
One who has called me is the Royal Palm tree (Roystonea Regia) or we in Indonesia call it Palm Raja (the king palm).
There are two clumps of fruit hanging up there, one mature yellow and another green clump other than some of the young fruit clumps. There is also something else that hangs and gets stuck there, a midrib of dry leaves.
Seeing it is always interesting, a complete picture of life as it is. Seeing the beautiful tree that lives with such fertile strengthens the awareness that the essence of life is the life of spirituality. Of course, it is very closely related to my own. If the royal palm is a spiritual being who is undergoing an experience as a tree, then I am a spiritual being who is experiencing humans. The spiritual being inside that is who has me, and not the other way around. If at any moment the spirit feels that the mission is complete, then he will leave me. Wow… This is the importance of celebrating life every time.
