Oleander Lizard – photomontage © 2019 – Howard Faxon
For ‘Black & White Friday’ I offer the unveiling of the lizard who came to live in my house two years ago freshly montaged with a backdrop of Oleander and summer sky. I took some pictures before it was released into the yard. This guy has been featured in several artworks already and has a bright future for more appearances. You saw it first on Virily.
Impressive lizard nice black & white photo
Thanks … I combined three different photos. That was a bit of fun.
Thank you. There were some hours of tedium involved but I love working black and white
One more unique work, Howard!
Thank you so much Albert. It is fun making these collages and black and white also makes it easier to smoosh pictures together I think.
You’re most welcome, Howard, Yes I can feel your fun expression in that work.
Thank you for sharing the wonderful picture. I must admit that I’m not comfortable with the lizard
Well he was very small. He’s standing on an apple right before he went outside to live. I think it’s a Western Fence Lizard and they are harmless to humans. If that helps any. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice! Does, Lizard have a name? Like Alfred or perhaps Horatio?
No name. I asked if he would be more comfortable outside where there are Corvids or inside with my cat and he couldn’t wait to leave. Never said a name.
He must have been part of the band America then or at least working with the band. He was the Lizard of no name, that they really rode through the desert since no self-respecting horse would EVER ride through the desert!
What, horses don’t like sandwiches?
… or “sand which is …” – ha, ha, ha
depends of course, on the sand which 🙂
I guess I would have to say which sand which? 🙂
At least they won’t starve because of all the sandwiches there in the desert. I think a BLT is always good.
What a handsome little dude you captured there!
It was very young – I put it in a nice place for his kind in my yard very soon after this picture. I think it got in a bag of apples when I picked my tree. This one shows up in other images I made.
Good that you have places for him in your yard.
That was my old yard but the people there now are good people who like organic yards so he’s probably still fine. I’m not big on yard keeping too much . Over time more and more things seem to live there as my neighbors wonder
Wonderful black and white image , Thank you for sharing
Sure, it was my pleasure. Thanks for coming and for your kind words.
Thank you, we have the honor of seeing this wonderful picture first. As always, photomontage is unique.
Thank you. I have to go see your picture for the challenge today. It looked amazing. See you there momentarily.
