Along with a 31 mile walking challenge for the month of August, these are two running challenges I will be going for. I was very excited when Strava added Alzheimer’s Society – Run for Dementia: 50 mile challenge because it brings awareness to an actual cause, plus it is only 50 miles in comparison to the August Running challenge which is 62 miles.

Stay safe out there my friend!
so are you alternating? One month cycling the next month running?
As far as the challenges go I am. I’ll still be riding every now and then, but the main focus is knocking out the mileage. These are the main strava challenges, but little challenges like a 8k run, a 10k, or a half marathon will pop up on the site that I can run to contribute to these main challenges. This weekend I am planning a 10k run. I’ll explain it more in the writing when it comes up. The trickery for me is balancing walking & running this month.
i remember those days. I tried to run five days a week and walk the other two. it never worked out that way.
I may have to drop one of them. And it just might be the walking challenge. I have been trying to encourage my clients to get out and walk, so that I could get walks in while at work. Also, the coworkers keep calling off work, so I’ve been tired lately to commit to two workouts a day when I am off, and especially after a long work day.
i understand that pal, you job is stressful don’t add to that stress
Going to go for it, but next month I will do only one whether it be biking, running or walking.
you know best what is achievable for you, don’t push too hard.
Always curious to see what strava will list.
Keep on running because “the race is not given to the swift.”
I’ll be happy to run another race, ehem! Covid-19 put a cease to that, lol.
Good for you. You are running for good causes and good luck to you.
Thanks, Hannihar; it is just another motivator to get me out running or biking
