Today’s picture is of the second quilt my mother made for Christmas. I became a Chicago Cubs fan because of my grandfather many years ago. I have predicted a Cubs World Series victory every spring since I was six years old. Currently, I am 1-50 in those predictions. But, there is a 1 in the win column now. So, to quote Loyd Christmas “You’re saying there is a chance.” Let me be early this year and predict that the Chicago Cubs will win the 2018 World Series.
(oh yeah and coming back to win again in 2019!)
Hope springs eternal with the advent of spring.
Anyway, the wonderful quilt my mother made has lots of Cub’s emblems. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me.

She always has been, although at various times in the past I wouldn’t have said that.
I understand. I have trying relationship with my own mother but as we get older we learn to be compassionate I think

Wow. I make a lot of quilts, but I have never made one that personal. It’s a great idea and an awesome gift.
