Cataract surgery will be on Monday morning if I can stay in good health. I have been waiting for this day for about six months. If I develop a cough it will be canceled. I was told that if I have to cancel the surgery due to sickness I will probably wait another six months.
Many of my family members have been sick during this holiday season. I started feeling poorly a few days ago. I told my boss I wanted off last night until a few days after the surgery. I am feeling a little better, so I am hoping the surgery will happen as planned.
Pray the surgery goes well for me. Thank you!

this has to be really stressful. so sorry!
best wishes sent, fingers and toes crossed!
Thank you Doc for your thoughtfulness I will post updates. As of now I am feeling better.
please do, sending warm thoughts your way!
I wonder why the surgery would not push through if you have a cough.
Drink lots of water approaching the day. Avoid sugary food (creates mucus). When my husband had cataract removed and replaced with inplant lenses, we made sure he drank Vit C sodium ascorbate (from iherb) everyday approaching surgery. Bec. Vit C is said to heal and repair inflammations.
I will remember to pray with you, LaJenna.
For safety and complete recovery.
Thank you Country Mama for these helpful tips.
I guess if I was ill maybe I could develop respiratory distress but not sure.
I will be keeping you in my thoughts and my prayers.
Keeping you in may thoughts my friend that you will stay well for the surgery.
