This one belongs to one of many glass paperweights I have collected over the years during my travels to various countries. They are in my private collection and are simply magical to look at …with their own stories encapsulated inside the glass dome..please enjoy!
A paperweight is a small solid object which is placed on top of books to keep the papers from blowing in the breeze or to keep a sheet from moving when painting with a brush.
This particular one comes from Langham – Norfolk England.
Yes…we did…I remember it well, Howard 🙂 I am too…fascinated with glass..especially paperweights 🙂 Thank you for your visit:)
Love this one – I share the fascination with glass. I worked as a hot glass furnace worker for many years making other peoples designs. After I switched to museum work I only made stuff for myself. We talked a little about this at Tsu.
Very nice I used to do Lampwork, and make glass beads and small objects many years ago.
Oh, really?? How interesting! Thank you 🙂
Very cool, glass is always a great medium!
Thank you Craig:)
