Every once in a while I like to take a couple of photos with my phone camera and see what I can do with some of the filter apps available. The phone is a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 so the apps are Android-based. I assume they are also available for the iPhone but I don’t know for sure. By the way, both apps are free.
It was a nice, clear day today with nice a blue sky. While walking my dog I passed a stop sign and thought the contrast between the blue sky and the red sign would work well with the filters. I took a couple of photos of the sign.
Here is the original photo:
The first app I used was Art Filter. This app forces you to crop the original image which is why the sign fills the entire frame. I picked three of the options although there are plenty more.
The first is the Superhero filter:
Then the Galaxy filter:
And lastly the Transform filter:
The second app I used was Deep Art Effects. I selected one option here. Again, there are many more available.
The filter I used is called Zodiac:
