still fussing with my fur settings, but things seem to be coming together. since the astrakhan is such a simple model, I am going to focus on it for the time being, then circle back to the bear cosplay…

#1 still not good enough

doubled the distribution but still not good enough

this might actually do the trick. it doesn't look good here, but from a distance it could get the job done

this is identical to the one above it, except I changed the base texture and fur color. see what I meant about texture driven solutions?
