Elephants in Thailand

Elephants this is one of the icons of Thailand. Elephants this is one of the icons of Thailand.   If you visit Thailand, you will be able to see a lot of souvenirs in elephants crafts.   From carved woods to stuffed key chains.  If you are lucky enough, you may have a close encounter with them in the street.     These elephants don’t roam by themselves because they have handlers.  Have you had an encounter with animals like elephants?

What do you think?

  1. I’ve only been up close to an elephant once that I remember. It was a long, long time ago. You’re lucky to be able to see them way, in the street. Do you see them in the street like that very often? I think that’s exciting.

  2. Ah, I already guessed that you are from South-East Asian, at least Asia, and it turns out that you are a Thai (but sorry if I guessed wrong) so we are neighbors.

Yes, I know that elephants are Thai icons. My father used to bring home various souvenirs in the form of elephant statues (My father had served as a military attaché staff in Myanmar and Thailand). I like such statues!
