Yes folks, we have three bluebird eggs today! A trio of little eggs in the nest. The female has been laying one egg per day. I wonder how many more she will lay. Time will tell. I have been checking the box and there are no ants or any predators hanging around. Being a Bluebird Mom is a full time job. One that I do not mind at all. So if I get behind on commenting on your posts you will know why. Stay tuned for more updates.

Bluebird fact of the day: In the days before pesticides, farmers put up nestboxes around their fields, as they were aware that bluebirds eat many insects, and the fruit they eat during the winter is not of the cultivated variety. While bluebirds will compete for nesting sites and defend their own abode, they do not maliciously attack other birds, eggs or nests. They do no harm. Another reason to be so fascinated over these birds.
Every time I see a bluebird, I say, all this hard work is all worth while.

Nice colours of the egg.
Beautiful post, thanks so much for sharing this special moment.
You are very welcome, sorry so late!
I jumped up and down happily when I saw the presence of this third egg. I wait for the next miracle. All the best for this loveable bird.
I now, so did I Albert. I was so excited I could hardly hold the camera still. 🙂
Looks like I still hope with eleven…
I would need a bigger house and that would be cool too see eleven babies.
The birds are being fruitful and multiplying.
Yes indeed, would you like to guess how many eggs they will lay?
That’s great! Pretty eggs too ?
Thanks Courtney, good to see you.
My pleasure….I wasn’t sure this went through because my phone was having issues earlier
Not a problem, I understand.
I didn’t know they were so small either. I don’t know why but I figured they were the size of a robin egg, which is really absurd. That would be way too big. Congratulations on number 3! I am going for 5, yes that is what she will have,,hopefully.
They are tiny, but the bluebird is small too, a lot smaller than the robin. Thanks Kim.
More eggs to come. The last time I say it, they are two. c”,)
We will see, thanks for commenting.
Every day they increase. That’s great.
Yes, one a day, probably only one or two more.
3 eggs, wow! Mama Bluebird is busy!
Yes indeed, I wonder if she is done. I am going for four. 🙂
With a range of three to five eggs, four is the safe bet. It’s boring, but statistically it is the odds on favorite…
Good call. These are tiny miracles of life, the size of a jelly bean.
I had no idea they were so small
Yes they are tiny. Like peanut M&Ms.
