Any fruit is provided by a flower.
Starting from this reality I thought it was interesting to start a photography project entitled “From flowers to fruits and seeds.
I will present part of this project in my Macro Monday Challenge. And because lately I have been dealing with … basil, I’ll start with it!
On this occasion you will also reveal the name of the flower that I challenged you to identify, few days ago.

What do you find most interesting, the flower or the seeds?

I actually think both look interesting! I have Thai basil growing in my garden, but I have never see the flowers and seeds in such a closer view. I am not sure if they look similar, though they are different types. Thanks for sharing these beautiful flowers with us, and I am learning more about the plants from you. 🙂
I love the flavor of basil,
Me, too! I use basil especially for tea.
Basil tea? is it good? i’ve never tried that way
Yes. I love it! I use dry basil.
I’m gonna try to do it soon
Let me know if you like it! Welcome to Virily! I noticed you are new here!
I will! and yes i am new, i just created the account yesterday and today is my first day using it, im pretty happy
I have not try basil tea before. I have Thai basil planted in my garden, and I usually cook them, especially in scrambled eggs or fried rice. I am not sure if Thai basil is good for making tea as well. I will check it out as I enjoy the aroma of the Thai basil. 🙂
Great macro , thanks for sharing ……
Thank you, my friend!
I like both photos, I do try to use the basil seeds from the plant to grow again. Superb macro shot, you are a master of macro photography.
Thank you, Pamela! I’m happy you like my photos.
We do not have basil here but our plant tulsi has the same properties like that of basil.
I preferred the flowers.
As I know tulsi, commonly known as holy basil, and our basil, are members of the same family( Lamiaceae ).
I didn’t know that basil has seeds.
All flowers have seeds!
I do love basil. Had no idea what it looked like outside of a jar!
I’m glad you saw how the basil looks like,
This is a great way to present basil. Love the blooms but those seeds are incredible.
I found this presentation interesting!
Wow! Great macro photos! Basil seeds look so big.
Thank you! I love macrophotography and I try to do my best!
