Today I got up early and made a new batch of homemade Bisquick. I like many of the recipies that you can find on the back of a Bisquick box. However, I prefer making my own baking mix. I keep mine in the fridge and it stays good for about three weeks. Typically a batch is gone in a week because we really do cook a lot here. At least once a week something goes in a neighbor box and it often begins with a Bisquick base. (Some of my very best brownies begin with homemade Bisquick.)
Anything I can do to simplify and give me more time to enjoy the things I love is worth trying. As it turns out, I do enjoy cooking and I don’t mind if the process goes a little faster. I guess that is one of the reasons I roast my own peppers as well.

We don’t have Bisquick here in the UK. I presume it is a baking mix? How do you make it then? Can you give us the recipe? That would be very useful.
This is a Great to see.
I needed to search in google what means Bisquick, LOL. We have something similar and I use it sometimes, but it is named otherwise so I was curious what it is.
Then I suppose very few people use it – I now use the home made version.
I do not know what that is …
I’ve never heard of the word :/
It seems like many don’t know. Silly topic here I guess.
Haha, that’s how we learn …
by reading about things we don’t know …
and you gave the explanation below … I just saw it!
I do not have the pleasure to cook for that I do not know this
I didn’t know people could make it themselves.
It a general baking mix, flour, salt, baking soda kind of mix.
What is it? I`ve never heard of it!
