Visited the rescued owl at our local state park yesterday. There are two owls they are taking care of now. Cotton did not want to look at the camera. She was shy and I interrupted her nap I believe. But you can still see her beautiful feathers.
She has a nice home now and is taken care of. The park rangers take her out and she visits schools from time to time. Thankfully they rescued her after finding her as a baby in the snow. I know most of you are animal lovers out there. I suppose there are some who are not. I cannot imagine not having animals in my life.

I like owls, especially their cute thin legs
Everyone is handsome in their own way. That’s the way it is with birds.
Yes I believe that as well. I love all birds.
Shy or not Cotton fascinates me. He is handsome but shy lol.
Yes she is definitely a beauty to see.
From my point of view, I think he is a beautiful bird, but in some countries they say that he is a bird, but he is a beautiful bird????????????
I absolutely love all birds and the owl is no exception. She is beautiful.
Animal shelters are great for animals that are injured to come back to health again.
Yes, but this state park will be their forever home. The wild animals will not be released due to injuries, in most cases.
Nice to know that the state park will be the permanent home of the owl.
Beautiful Owl , I have to research owl more
Thanks, you should research the beautiful birds.
Cotton looks healthy because he must get good care.
The park rangers take excellent care of all the rescued animals.
Very beautiful owl. She was lucky to have saved her and she could live
They are all so beautiful and happy to see they have a good safe home.
Seems she does not want to paint … a very nice picture, dear Carol
That is how owls are, but that is ok I still got the chance to see her safe. Thank you!
Gorgeous owl. I love birds and animals can live as it supposes to be – in freedom.
Yes, she is a beauty. I visit her often. It is not safe for her to be in the wild. Her wings will never heal according to the rangers.
It’s good you have parks that could house animals…
I know countries, animals being rescued and are not adopted will be put to sleep :/
Yes, this is a great state park and the rangers go out of their way to help these animals.
…. by the way, many animals are put to sleep here in the US. I try not to think about it. Heartbreaking.
That’s a lovely photo, Carol. I love owls. There is an owl sanctuary not too far from where I live. I think they do a marvelous job. =)
Thanks! Good to see you. I would love to visit a sanctuary for owls.
It’s a very happy owl.
Yes she seems to have settled in at her new home.
