I read a post from Doc this morning about what do you have around your computer. I keep this photo closeby and look at it, along with others in other rooms. Dustin loved to fish. He started at a young age. This day feels like it was just yesterday. Other times it seems like a lifetime ago. Hold tight to those you love. Make the good memories. Those moments will be what get you through the difficult days. Life is about the little things. Do not take anyone or anything for granted. You never know what the next moment holds.

That is such a lovely photo, Carol. I keep a head & shoulders shot of Josh here on a cabinet, with his glasses balanced on the top of the picture frame. Sometimes I adjust them to a funny angle. And always playing a part in the set-up is one of his favourite figurines, Alisha. He never stopped getting joy from his little characters, and used to de-stress by handling them in his bag which he always carried around 🙂
What a great idea to have his glasses with the photo Norman. That makes it so personal. Such happy little moments that get us through. Thank you for sharing and know I do understand.
The photo you have is perfect Norman, with a special touch added. Enjoy.
What a great shot and memory. The answer to your question is yes. People, dogs, cats.. I like keeping things that remind me that person or pet.
Thank you Kim. This is one of many favorite memories.
Photos are such a good part of memories. When sharing it enables the audience to see and better understand. A very beautiful share, straight from the heart!
I agree with you. And I am so thankful for the 16 years of memories I had, not enough, but it is all I have. And the photos are a constant reminder of him.
Dustin does not want you to be sad, Carol. I am sure of that. It is a beautiful photo, however. Hang in there.
Thank you for your kind words. I know he doesn’t and I can smile when I look at photos such as this one. Good times.
Your words are so heartfelt I can feel your thoughts. Yes, holding onto memories is priceless.
Thank you, it does come from my broken heart.
Very touching post….thank you for sharing. I don’t have them by my computer….but I have a photo of my uncle who passed away that I was close to….but I also keep the memories.
Thank you Courtney, it is important to keep them close.
I definitely agree. Sometimes I’ve had dreams about my uncle too…those are the most vivid memories.
I wish I could dream more about my son.
My opinion is also as yours.
Thank you Robin for commenting.
this photo has an invaluable value
Thank you Branka, I abosolutely agree with you.
What a precious little photo of your Dustin. You are absolutely correct in saying we should make the most of the moments we have.
Thank you so much. I treasure these photos and memories.
And yes the moments should always be treasured.
