Sometimes “The Pack” likes to go running in the hills near my sons house.
This is in Oceanside, California, in North County San Diego, near Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Base.
You will see huge boulders, mixed in with long ago farm lands, and plenty of cactus.
This area reminds of the old Western Movies.
I can just see John Wayne on his horse riding through..
The dogs say there are so many rabbits! We chase them all!
It’s hard work!
This is a lot of area to cover…And a lot of pesky wabbits!
I took time out to grab a few flower pictures. The one below is Wild Mustard.
Not sure what this is, but I love purple! It was very tiny.
The one below is Anise. It smells and tastes like licorice.
On top of plateau this is what was left of an old farmhouse. The glass has turned green from the sun.
You never know what you’ll find out and about, wondering the hills in Southern California.
Hope you have a great day and get out in nature!
Wild mustard is such a pretty plant. I’ve never encountered wild anise. That’s a cool find!
Its awesome this time of year, the dogs go out running, and they come back smelling like an herb shop. Not a pot shop..i am in CA haha, other herbs. mostly sage and anise. Imagine that smell together. Its an odd mixture. lol
Yes, I think it would be an odd combination!
Your pups have so much personality
lol, yes they do, and theyre all so totally different.
These photos remind me of some places here. I meet them by the sea. I think yesterday I was shooting a cactus on the beach.
Yes, they do. Very similar, even down the landscaped areas in town.
Nice photos. Love the doberman!
Thank you, shes the best grand dog ever!
Awesome photos and post
Thank you Woody! Much appreciated.
