Living Fire The natural phenomenon due to the emanation of natural gas that comes to the surface by fissures of the Earth’s crust, being lit by the sun’s rays, sometimes by people, has been named the Living Fire in this sub-Carpathian area of Buzau, near the village of Terca in Buzau County, at an altitude of approximately 1030 meters. The height of the flames in the ground depends on the pressure of the accumulated gases in the interior, but also on the meteorological conditions.
