Moody Apples

This is an image taken late one evening. It shows a basket of freshly picked apples on a kitchen table. The apples had been picked from the apple tree in our garden.

I have darkened the image slightly to give the impression of sadness. This sadness is for the declining days of summer and the pending days of autumn (Fall).

You will see that the front apple is not perfect, it has a blemish clearly visible at the front. This is to remind us that perfect or imperfect, we should count all our blessings.

  1. It is a very good still life and does establish a mood. My apples are best picked in early October and I’m getting ready to have a similar bounty. And, each year I get together with friends and we make hard cider from combining some of our apples – it’s always fun.
    Cheers
