Today I will join the challenge started by Ileana. The theme of this week is supposedly watercraft. The painting is several years old when I spent my vacation on the Croatian island of Lošinj. It is an island in the Kvarner Bay and is completely dependent on ferry connections. Ferries run daily and several times a day depending on traffic. The island is completely dependent on supplies from the mainland. When a strong bora wind blows, ferry traffic is interrupted and this can take several days, so the islanders are completely dependent on ferry transport.

I love car ferries. We took one last fall when we were in Maine riding to an island off the coast. they are so much fun!!!

we rode in one from Copenhagen to Stockholm. it was a huge ship!!!
These are really huge ferries … I once drove from Malmo in Sweden to Trondheim in Norway …. we drove all night and we had sleeping cabins
they are amazingly huge, I love riding on them. My favorite thing is driving on. some you ride in the car, but it is a much shorter trip.
You really save a lot of driving hours ….. financially it can be a bit more expensive, but you can have a good rest and have a little fun.
