This male cardinal is always a joy to see at my deck feeder. This “redbird” as my Dad always called it was his favorite bird. We would talk every day and always about birds. He had redbirds all over his yard with the big oak trees he had.
I miss those talks. Every time I see a cardinal I think of his words. I can still hear his voice in my head.
Good memories that are forever.

That is a wonderful photo love that cardinal
Thank you, I love these birds.
We’ve hummingbirds coming to our balcony “garden”. LOL
They’re very quick… never did managed to snap a photo of them!
I love hummers, it will be a few weeks before I see them.
… and they are challenging to photograph. I have to setup my tripod to get those!
my guess is that cardinal is channeling his inner Edward G. Robinson from the old 1950s gangster movies.
Yeah, see, yeah!
That could be possible as well.
my apologies I was in a pre-jury duty mode.
I have a few coming to my terrace now, we don’t have a backyard technically.
How cool, I love the cardinals.
The Cardinal bird is beautiful indeed never seen one. This one is beautiful
Thanks I love them, they are special birds.
I only see these beautiful birds in the picture.
I love sharing with you because i know you can’t see these.
We don’t have this bird in our area. I have never seen one in nature. It is beautiful.
I love these cardinals, so pretty.
The birds here sing more especially in the springtime. Looks like you have an early valentine there Carol…lol
We have more in the spring too. But I keep this feeder out in the winter so I can see them year round. I think you might be right.
Such a lovely capture! Cardinals are gorgeous, but I have only seen them in photos.
Thank you, I love seeing these.
