Well, what do you say about my answer up there?
Besides, everything else, Is this insistence not smug and unnecessary? Since, as a child, you probably thought “YOUR L.E.G.’s ARE SHOWING” was the funniest joke in the world. As an adult, however, are you, the guy correcting other adults when they rejoice on the first of September instead of the 21st? while (either is fine.) The argument doing the rounds, (600 million are “hotly” debating the question right now), is because there is no year 0 in the Anno Domini system our calendars are based on, the first year ever was year 1. Therefore, the first year of any and all subsequent decades is the one ending in 1. OR IS IT?
Thanks, Norman, I just posted it because suddenly some super-intelligent people on YouTube weren’t so sure anymore. I post stuff that I find interesting and share it with others of whom a few others may find worth reading about too. The controversy is often a major feature to my posts, is not very popular but I get by. Thanks for commenting.

Based on the Roman Pope Gregory XIII or Gregorian or Julian Calendar (whichever) we use, a decade has passed. And entering a new one. Hmmm. . Hebrew calendar dates back from Creation is year 5780 currently, from Rosh Hashanah (New Year, Tishrei 1 5780, (Gregorian Cal Sept 30 2019).
Anyway…
I’m fully conversant with your sources, the fact is, we, the, remaining 99% of society at large, do not follow those calendars. Anyway, world experts don’t agree with your interpretation. Oh, well, as Mrs. Brown in the Irish sitcom would say, “That’s nice.”
