On one of my walks, I was pleasantly surprised. I was climbing a lower hill when I saw a hydrangea in the middle of the forest. I did not know that this plant thrives in the forest as well. Hydrangeas carry a variety of symbolism that differs from culture to culture. In Japan, for example, it is associated with gratitude, a sense of respect and a sense of commitment. Hydrangea, on the other hand, was associated with bragging and vanity because of its broad and beautiful flowers in the Victorian era. Of course, symbolism, even today, depends on the color of the flower. Pink hydrangea represents love and sincerity, blue forgiveness, white bragging, purple represents abundance and understanding.

I didn’t know that either. We really learn all our lives.
A lot of people in New Zealand have hydrangeas in their gardens never seen one in New Zealand bush
Hydrangeas are beautiful, they always remind me of my childhood at my grandparents’ house.
My mom always had this plant in the garden.
Very nice post. I have this flower in my garden.
Thank you. I do not currently have this plant in my garden.
I don’t know the meaning of the flower, especially of the colors, but certainly, the flower is beautiful with all the colors.
Thank you, Albert. We cannot know everything, so we learn all our lives.
You are right, Vida, because we only know a little about everything in the world and that’s why we have to learn constantly, and I’m lucky there is a good teacher like you here.
Never seen this plant any where , I have planned to go to forest after 21st December
You may also find this plant in your forest
This is a really beautiful blue flower … I was mostly surprised by the blue color … but I really don’t know its meaning
I also did not know that these plants also bloom in blue.
Nature always amazes us, dear Vida
i have a dear friend that owns a flower shop. He tells me what I need to do to fix what I broke with flowers!
You are lucky to be able to receive advice from a specialist. I seek advice from friends.
yes, I have you, Carol, Dawn and others here on Virily to help me as well!!!! 🙂
I am always happy to help whenever possible
my wife always wonders how I was able to even feed myself before I met her. I have to remind her that she has cooked roughly 20 times in 30 years!
I’ve never seen hydrangea in the forest but they are a very popular garden plant where I live.
I also saw her for the first time in the woods. This plant is also widespread in our gardens only.
I wonder if the seeds from someone’s garden plants ended up in the forest. I’ve seen that happen with crocuses in my area.
I wish they grew wild here, the hydrangeas in my garden are pretty fussy LOL
Usually, growing this plant is no problem.
Interesting. I don’t think I have seen this flower before. I don’t think we have it here in my country..
Maybe this plant really does not thrive in your climate.
True. I am in a tropical country…
The plant uses fertile and moist soil, which contains all the necessary minerals. Unfortunately, I do not know good tropical conditions. ?
Thanks for explaining the significance of all those colours. I have yet to plant that in my garden.
I’m glad you like it. This plant will be wonderful in your garden.
