Have you heard anything about suiseki?
Suiseki is an incredibly deep hobby and allows practitioners to see and feel nature on a scale as large as the entire universe through the viewing of a single stone. Like the wheels of a car, suiseki and bonsai support and compliment each other, and suiseki expresses the essence of the Japanese aesthetic. 7 out of 15. Not bad considering this is the first time learned about suiseki. Domo arigato for this quiz.
I am interested to learn more about ikebana though. 😉
I think I agree that you need to know more about ikebana indeed, John. Hahaha… Thanks for playing…
14 out of 15. I guessed some of these.
Your guess is generally always right, Andrew! Thanks a lot for playing, my friend
Chinese really like stones which have holes naturally eroded into them
Hahaha… Thank you, brother merman!
No problem. I believe they’re called scholar stones and they started the whole process…
Well, you are right, brother. As art objects, there are several other terms for this art – with different guidelines and names such as; “Aiseki” (Japanese) – appreciated stone; in China besides the “Scholar’s Rocks” you have mentioned, also “Shang Shi” – elegant stone, “Shang Sek” – enjoyable stone and “Yah Sek” – exquisite elegant stone, in Korea “Suseok” – stone of longevity or “Gongshi “and also often referred to as” viewing stones, “
My brother-in-law knows his rocks! I know weiqi stones and that’s about all
Ok, let’s “Go”. My first turn is black and you’re white. Let’s start.
Do you really know how to play?
Should not I fill the board and blacken all your stones?
Make an account at https://online-go.com and invite ledante to a game
I accept all challenges
I have to declare “I give up” before the match. Have you seen a white flag pointing up?
Another victory, but another battle awaits…
got 7 out of 15 right!
Once again…
Thanks for playing, Edith
7/15 Very interesting art, it’s new to me!
Thank you very much, Ellie. I’m glad you are interested in it.
I only got five right but this was an amazing quiz. I intend to learn more about this art form. Thank you for sharing such a unique art and kindling our curiosity
I’m glad you got something from this quiz, Dawn.
You need to know, I feel sad because of the score you’ve got, I even just wiped away the tears. But anyway, thanks for playing.
Only 8 but I enjoyed and loved the Japanese mountains, cool quiz!
Aha.. My very dear friend Carol. As you say, the important thing is that we are happy, the score is just a complement. Thanks for playing.
I thought I remembered taking this quiz, I took it again, just amazing.
Hahaha… Thanks again, Carol
You got 8 out of 15 right!
Could be better
Dear Hamza. 8 is more than a half! Thanks for playing, my friend

Thanks a lot for your appreciation, Noor.
Ur welcome my dear friend
Wonderful quiz, Albert! You have opened up a whole new world to me! I only got 6 right, but that’s much less important 🙂
Thanks for playing, Norman. I’m glad you got something from this quiz. Indeed the score is not too important besides having fun and adding knowledge, is not it?
Absolutely, my friend 🙂
?… Thanks again, Magic magician!
Without knowing anything about this art I am pleased with myself. I was expecting a lower score but got you You got 8 out of 15 right!
Whoa! That’s great, Elenka!!! I think you are an artist, and as an artist, in terms of art that you do not know yet, you will have no trouble!
Your friend has too many quizzes for me, but I still try – just5 / 15
Actually, this is my third quiz, Lado. Always about art, and I just want to socialize this art. 5 is a third, and the score is not important is it? But I’m glad you played this quiz, thank you, Lado.
I totally agree with my friend-it’s important to work together not to win
That’s the principle that effectively work, my friend. Thanks!
Greetings friend
Best wishes, Lado
5 out of 15 but it was a lot of guesswork
5 or whatever is good, Jack. I just want to socialize this art of suiseki, and as you said in my previous quiz, “make a quiz like this” and I have done it. Thanks for playing Jack.
I’ll try to be better next time
I’m sure you will, Jack!
Bonsai is my passion but I know nothing about Suiseki so I was forced to guess the answers to most of them. Somehow I managed to get 10 right.
Sharing this on “My Bonsai Obsession” Facebook page.
Thank you for your appreciation, Gina. Apparently, we have a common hobby. I also posted a quiz about bonsai some time ago.
https://virily.com/virily_quiz/bonsai-quiz/
Thanks. I had a go at that one too. My knowledge of the Japanese terms isn’t so good, so I wasn’t too happy with my score.
However you are a bonsai lover, so the score does not represent your love for bonsai is not it?
6/15 Awesome quiz! ??????
Thank you, Gina kind girl. I’m glad you enjoy this quiz.
You are the kindest, sweetest and funniest guy
Is it true? Why do I not know anything about it?
