Quotations: Who Said What?

Here is a quiz to test your quotation knowledge. Some of these are probably familiar to you, but do you know who was the first person to say or write them? Some others may be new to you, but who – of the suggested answers – is most likely to have been the originator?

One problem with quotations is that there are often conflicting views about who the originator was. My answers in this quiz are the ones I am familiar with, so I apologise if you know differently. If that is the case, why not comment and say so?
