You got 6 out of 12….
You earned 50%, Branka – that’s a pass! Thanks for taking the quiz 🙂
My result 5 out of 12. I have never been to Ireland and I have never tried Irish food
Let me share a secret, Alberto: Spanish food is better – but don’t tell anyone I said that!
Ok. I will keep the secret. I have never seen an Irish restaurant in Spain. I have seen Irish pubs.
Only 5 and they were all guesses. Some dishes sound very interesting.
They are not haute cuisine but ordinary dishes made by ordinary people, Ellie. You would be more likely to find these in an ordinary home than in a restaurant. Nothing wrong with 5 🙂
I got 4 out of 12 by fluke LOL
Unfortunately the fluke was against you! These are not the kind of dishes, generally, that you’d find in restaurants. A bit unfair to non-Irish, I have to admit 🙂
You got 6 out of 12
Not so bad!
Not so bad, Maria! 50% is a pass 😀
Me irish roots are withered and have slipped away from me, Or, i missed 6 on purpose!
LOL I wonder which 🙂 In truth, several of these dishes are quite local and would not be recognised by many under-40s here!
my personal Irish expeditions have been Dublin, Belfast, Shannon and Galway. I am a bit limited in overall exposure.
Me family comes from Cork!
You’re more exposed than most of your compatriots, those of Irish ancestry included! |You would not find the majority of these dishes in many restaurants, as they tend to gravitate towards a generalised European cuisine. These are the kind of dishes you’d be served in regular people’s houses 🙂
i don’t know any regular people!
I was dragged out on my first trip to Dublin to a pub. I wondered why they were making me go out.
It was american trivia night.
the winning team drank free.
we drank free!
Brilliant – What an asset you were! 😀
yea, I was there for two and a half weeks, we went to american trivia twice. The second time, they just let us drink for free!
I was not sure of Irish cuisine but I do love blood pudding because we also enjoyed blood sausages in Latvia. I got 7 reight. Great quiz.
Black pudding (blood sausage) is very common breakfast fare here. You don’t see it so much stateside?
I know where I can buy it but no it is not a favorite here and when I see it I buy it
Congrats on the Quiz you beat all odds.
Got 6 – mostly guesses. Great quiz.
You guessed well, Grace! Thanks for playing 🙂
Got the last one, thanks for the hint. And missed five!
Some people might think it tricky to call that a trick question, but I didn’t fool you, Carol 🙂
I was expecting it to be a tricky one, but I risked too.
Oh dear lol, I only got 4 correct. I think I need to go to Ireland on holiday and learn my Irish cuisine!
You definitely need to visit here, Queen! Thanks for taking the quiz 🙂
You got 5 out of 12 right!
Not so bad
Not too bad, Snezana! I guess you have never visited my country?
