5. 8/14. The Asian letters are difficult to tell apart (if you don’t know the language of course). Great learning quiz!

   • You did well enough, Deb! Over 50% I bet people who don’t know European alphabets have big trouble distinguishing ours from Russian or Greek!

     • I would agree, and the English language is confusing for people from other countries to learn, it takes time to perfect our spelling.

       • Oh, you’re so right. I’ve worked as a teacher of English as a foreign language, and our spelling causes so many stumbles… surpassed only by French spelling!

      • Partly because I got a lot of linguistics when I was in college and partly because I live in a multi-ethnic neighborhood and I see a lot of these alphabets around.

23. Choked on Georgian, nailed the rest…

    • Excellent! And I don’t blame you on Georgian – it looks so Indian to my eyes.

      • Sandskrit has a baseline over the top, but the lower characters do look kinda Georgian. I’d expect them to look much more like Cyrillic…
