Love ItLove It

Theme by the Month: Winter

I always wanted to live in the tropics. Living in Lithuania, every winter, I escape from the cold to the warm countries. I always wanted to live in the tropics. Living in Lithuania, every winter, I escape from the cold to the warm countries. But I always come back, put my feet in Uggs with a wool lining, wrap my neck with a scarf, and cursing my native weather.

But when my dream of traveling and spending time on the warm shores came true, only then that I realized that I was a freshwater fish dreaming of climbing the trees. I need snow. I need buildings that are older than my parents. I need a cherry-colored lipstick and a cozy, over-sized sweater. I need that feeling when finally reaching cozy and warm home you feel how painfully sweetly my cold feet become warm again.

I adore living in the tropics and eternally loose barefoot, carelessly sticking in rubber slippers. But know that once a year – that painfully long Christmas wait in December – I observe people’s winter photos with snow, frosted windows, and hot wine glasses – then there seems to be no better place in the world than a frosted or even sleet Lithuania.
