After a whole day spending time discussing a few things related to the client’s business, I still talked to some of the management members at night. After talking about work, some people still ask for a little discussion about life.
In order to change the atmosphere and become more informal and relaxed, we sit on the back porch of their office while drinking coffee and enjoyed some snacks. There, we talked lightly about the courage to face life with its various aspects. The conversation warms up when we talk about how an event or past experience can haunt a person in such a way that something that actually does not exist but like shackling a footstep to move forward or holding us to move to a new page. It can be many forms; trauma, phobia, nightmares, fear, hurt, hatred, resentment, and others.
As we are enjoyed the discussion about it, a cat walked slowly and sat under a chair. For a few minutes, the cat just sat there motionless.
“Look at the cat, like us, his shadow moving following him, now he stops and his shadow stops. It is similar to us humans, wherever we go in all aspects of life, our shadow always exists and follows, but it exists outside of our true self, only beyond. The shadow exists because the cat is there, because we are there, but our shadow in the conference room above is no longer there, and if it still exists, it must be the image we keep, we take care of, and we give it energy to keep is there in our mind, and it will become more powerful if we continue to pay attention and follow their will. Is not it strange if our shadow in the conference room this afternoon, or our shadow in the toilet also still join us here? We move from the meeting room to here because we are bored and tired to be still there and now we sit here, then why do not we get bored with all the shadows of the past? Is that not weird?”

The path through tomorrow is always fraught with things we cannot forget. I would only have added the sometimes button. Sometimes the articles of the past haunt me. I focus, meditate and seek a new path to rid myself of that frustrations.
I am convinced that none of the past is missing from our memory, it may just be hidden in the lower layers and occasionally surfaces through certain triggers, but in some cases, in its existence in the subconscious mind often forms our attitude or reaction to things certain.
Thank you for your suggestion for added “sometimes” button. I also thought about it but decided to avoid the mess of post-post results.
What is the fun of results if there isn’t some level of manipulation required…
I totally agree with your opinion, Doc. The best results are always without manipulation except for a photo manipulation artwork eg.
Ah what we can change with Photoshop and a little time. I am not 7 foot 3 inches tall, after a few minutes with Photoshop!~
Hahaha… that’s the fun of discussions with you, Doc, you understand the essence!
Thanks Albert, by the way just as a note as of this morning and a little more work with Photoshop I am now the tallest person on earth (9 foot 4 inches)!
Given that it is done via the virtual path, and we are talking in cyberspace, then that’s your reality in cyberspace today.
yes, but I suspect I am half way in the virtual world and more so every day!
It seems that the more days we will live in virtual worlds longer and deeply…
The rise of AR (Augmented reality) devices continues. I worry that someday kids will ask “You played outdoors, why?”
Yes, Coach, I also have such thoughts, and that is getting more strange in my spiritual view, considering that we are now living in cyberspace. Then the reality of our loss in AR is will like the transformation from an original shadow to an accent.
Or, could it be instead a potential win for humanity? That the future is a place with more free time, so humans go outdoors and disconnect more?
I think it is a good potential possibility too…
It’s what makes us what we are. Good thoughts Albert! You know me well enough to know how I voted. : )

Thank you for your openness, Kim. I hope to share experiences like this will give a little benefit to others.
Yes, there are some wounds in life that don’t bleed. I have post traumatic stress. That is not a choice, its a pattern of reactions to physical and mental violence.
Situation has passed but sometimes events trigger the memories. I try and counteract, but then I am human.
I suppose its given me an understanding on certain human elements in life and hopefully through that I can help some people or even just listen.
Thank you for your openness, Pamela. Bad experiences often make an impression on the mind. To overcome it, regardless of what the outcome is an important lesson, as well as the willingness to help people based on our various experiences.
I had experienced a lot of things in the past. But then, I forgot and learned from them. c”,)
That’s wise, my friend. The past is our part of life and a big part of our lesson to grow indeed.
I hope that people will have the same positive attitude.
Another thought-provoking post! I believe that we need to learn how to move on without forgetting the experiece we gained by the mistakes we’ve made.
Learn from our experience is a must, right? As long as the shadows of the past don’t hold back our possibility to learn and grow… Thanks Ellie
Good post.I have shadows from the past, but I managed not to turn around in the shadow.
We all have memories, but those should not haunt us, right?
I have many shadows from the past around me. I try to embrace them since they have all decided to stay.
As long as you can dance freely and happily with them at this moment, it can make you wiser.
I can tell sad events to go away, and it works for a while. I know it is senseless to hold on to the past. There is no benefit! Great post Albert!
You are a mature person with exemplary life wisdom, LaJenna. Thanks for your kind thought.
Good post. I think some things from the past follow us around but I try to look to the future.
That’s great, TZ. You are a brave one! Many people want it but can’t let it go…
Letting go is always the hardest… :/
I agree with your opinion and general opinion as well. Is that possible?
We are what we’re because of our past and experience…
So maybe it’s good to have some shadows lurking around… as long as they’re not evil :p
So, it’s impossible for you to let go of the past, right? Then how can we ensure that the shadows of the past do not withstand the pace of our steps in any aspect of life?
