on the way, in part because we could
we stopped.
in stopping we settled
and roots began to grow away from us
seeking the nutrients freed by the worms
beneath us, chewing on the soil
and leaving trails in the sand.
We spread out branches and leaves
to provide us shade as we baked
in the open sun.
no longer now walking
we felt the sun.
It flowed around us and filling the air
began to push against the trunks
and branches
to move them
we want to bake
the rays scream as they dive into leaves
that shatter
and reborn
are thicker
stronger
and the rays lose the day.
In the summer we would literately bake if we are on the beach. The heat at this moment is soaring , much higher than last year.
we have similar problems now in the US. it is really uncomfortable to be on the ocean or on the ocean beaches in the summer. you bake!
I often walk into the unknown.
it is a power thing!!!!
The rays lose the day… I like these words
I do walk without a destination.
And I take many pauses..
walking without a destination is my goal sometimes. i am free when i do that@
I love when I travel and stop when I like a certain place. Great photo and takes on Doc.
thanks – I do love that as well. Sometimes stopping is so important!
my apologies i forgot the questions:
Do you ever walk without a destination?
Do you ever find yourself stopping somewhere new and pausing there?
