our journey around the sun
the ground around us falling away
as we rise to
ride.
up and down we focus on the sound of clacking
and the wind
as it whistles between the
last pine trees. that
poking from the ground are crooked
the ground hard
the trees driving harder and harder to
crack the red soil
and then burst crooked upon this earth
we are ready now
for our journey around the sun.

Right now, we have to be ready for anything
sadly that is true, the once clear path is now foggy.
Great song and picture too …. but once I really tried to ride just as a kid ….
did you enjoy it? I spent an entire summer taking care of horses at our local scout camp.
It was nice …. but now I live in the countryside and you can hardly see the horse anymore …. sometimes they worked with them in the fields and now they have been replaced by tractors …. but love, maybe 2 more horses in the whole village
Horses are very expensive, if they aren’t tilling the field most farmers don’t keep them.
oh well they are very beautiful!
That’s right and they eat a lot … but it’s a really noble animal
they are truly amazing animals. But they do eat a lot. I remember having to feed them twice a day (they were ridden during the day).
Great song. As I see it you really enjoy horseback riding.
horseback riding is a lot of fun – my wife still talks about our trip!
This photo always makes me smile. You two are so happy.
it is hard work for certain, but my wife is a good egg!
Great photo and great words!
thanks the poem is old (about 30 years old)!
