I get up long before the sunrises. I love the quiet time. My brother is always up as well and still we don’t normally chat until sunrise. It’s our quiet time to think, plan for the day, guess what the weather might be like and ponder on what is to come. I’ve been up for a few hours and still the sun sleeps.
As soon as my husband gets up, which is typically much later the noise begins in earnest. It is almost like he fears the silence now. He finds comfort in chatter. His hearing isn’t great so he misses a lot of the details, but likes the noise.
Today I am enjoying the silence, the darkness and the excitement of what today might bring. No, nothing special is planned and still it migh be a great day!
