US News Headline March 2018 : Michelle Obama Won’t Run for POTUS

It’s the first full week of March 2018 and this is a news “buzz” headline.

Michelle Obama Won’t Run for President, Wants to ‘Invest in creating thousands of Mes’ Instead

This headline was a confusing surprise.  (O.o)

When her husband, Barack Obama left office, Ms. Obama made it perfectly clear that she had no intentions of even considering political office.  Not as a president, a senator, a governor, a mayor, whatever!  I never thought she had any intentions of running and I’m perfectly OK with Ms. Obama not running for president.  I was OK with it when she answered the question the first time they asked her.  I didn’t know this was a topic even being discussed.

Ms. Obama running for president is not a worry.

It’s the other “Ms. O” we need to keep an eye on.

Oprah for President!

Like Ms. Obama, Ms.Winfrey also said that she would not be running for President. But she said that on CNN and of course, if we believe our current POTUS, that CNN is just fake news, her saying that on a CNN report is not very reassuring.

I know Oprah Winfrey is very influential but … and this is a prayer:

Please God!  Don’t let Oprah become POTUS!!

No doubt there are many who disagree with me.  Call me a sista-hater.  I don’t care!  No doubt for every reason I would hope that Ms. Winfrey never decides to become a contender or candidate, somebody else could provide a bazillion other reasons why my reasons are WRONG!

So! I’m just going to finalize this political discussion with a blanket statement the way everybody else settles discussions about politics, with their minds unchanged by any truth or facts presented contrary to their views or opinions.

  • I just personally don’t think Oprah Winfrey would make a good POTUS. Of course, that just my opinion.  I could be WRONG!

Am I alone on this?

  1. I would reccommend a follow up poll to ask opinions about somequalified women who currently serve in public office that might be presidential candidates like California Senator Kamala Harris, Ambassador Nikki Hailey, or Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren…

  2. Great questions, there are many concerns expressed but yes, today on International Women’s day, I truly believe that the US needs a female president!!!!!

  3. I had trouble on the last question figuring out what yes and no actually meant, but I think the presidency should be open to any U.S. citizen who is capable of leading this country in the right direction. Of course, good people may disagree on what direction that is.

    • Thanks for your feedback. I must remember that people can not read my mind. LOL.

“Number 4. American should never have a female president.” I tossed that one in because of something my husband said. He is a naturalized American citizen; born and raised in another country but happy to be an American. When the 2016 campaign was going on he predicted the outcome of the election. Sort of. He didn’t predict the winner. He predicted the loser. Hillary Clinton. I asked him why. He said America doesn’t want a female for president. I was completely taken aback. I had not even thought of that. He said that people won’t say it out loud but lots of people don’t want a woman running this country. As I composed this poll, I wondered in my mind ‘Is what my husband said true? Could it be that America never wants a female for POTUS?’ So I threw it in at the last minute.
