It has been so misty and cold in the mornings it is hard to see the sunrise these days. Yesterday I decided that I would get a glimpse of the sunrise and failed yet again. It was very cold and misty that you could hardly see a couple of feet away from where you stood.
I thought that the mist would clear up fast and decided that I would take my 5 km walk around the lake. The sun never really came out until 8 in the morning and by then it was pretty high in the sky. However I did catch this beautiful reflection of the sun in the lake just as I was finishing my walk.
I got to see some drongos, kingfishers, the ever present parrots, eagles, barbets and the tiny sunbirds tweeting their hearts out. I enjoyed my morning walk listening to the music of the birds, the trees and the water.
I had my breakfast in a lovely little cafe nearby and headed home to escape the harsh heat of the sun. The change in temperatures between 7-9 in the mornings is drastic. The weekend gone by was amazing as I was finally able to take my long walks.

we have had the same gray skies. It makes the sunrise hard to catch. 🙂
Oh hate these grey bleak skies, I haven’t seen the sunrise in months now.
we used to say Gray November when we lived in Indiana.
It was indeed beautiful weekend , I felt a bit lazy but It was Okay
Sometimes we need to relax, I guess its okay to feel like that once in a while. 🙂
The sun is ever obliging when it comes to greeting me every single day. Birds visit us too as they have everything they need – fun, food and frolicking in the bird bath.
Glad your walk was nice meeting all those chirping birds.
Lucky you, I am waiting to move out of the city into some countryside surroundings.
Your love for nature surely would make you very happy We did that at the cost of glamour. No glamour here. I have the virtual world to interact with and I am happy as a lark (lol)
I love nature walks. It has been raining in our country for almost a month. That’s why I can’t go for a walk every day, which I miss a lot.
I know what you mean Vidocka, I was stuck at home for more than three months because of the rains.
I come across nature every day because I live in the countryside … a beautiful sunrise
Lucky you Lado, I wait for the time when we can move to a semi urban area. I hate the city.
I believe … I’ve lived in the city for 50 years and I know what it looks like … now I’ve moved to the countryside where I really enjoy dear friend
Beautiful sunrise, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the visit and the comment Hina

So do I Carol, there is magic in nature.
Such a great capture here.
Thank you LaJenna, the picture doesn’t do justice to what I saw.
