Thinking about the tragedy of Lady Diana today while browsing through videos. I came across “Candle in the Wind” by Elton John. He was close friends with Diana, as well as George Michael.
They got together and re-wrote a version of this popular song to be performed at Lady Diana’s funeral. Very special.
I shared both videos, the original and the one performed at the funeral.

The royal life is never as glamorous or beautiful as it looks from afar.
i always felt bad for Diana. She was thrust into the world’s spotlight long before it was what happened when you became famous.
She was dealt an unfair hand in life for sure. Such a sweet beautiful soul she had.
she really was – a horrible situation all the way around…
Yes and that happens way too often.
I watched the two children of Diana and Charles their lives have been difficult because of the spotlight. I feel bad for them!
I agree with Ahol , and what he says is very correct
Yes things can be very unfair at times.
It’s sad that Prince Harry had to remove himself from royalty because he saw the press doing the same thing to his wife that they were doing to his mother.
The entire situation is very sad indeed.
I take these songs well. A few days ago, I was watching a documentary about Diana.
I am so glad to hear. She was such a special lady and deserves to be remembered.
You are right. We have a lot of documentaries and films about her life and the life of the royal family.
And we should keep watching and try to keep her memories alive.
