Many of you might not like country music. Many of you might not know any of the stars of country music and might not even know who Garth Brooks is. (I’ve got friends in low places fame)
Garth is a country music superstar, and he is a very Christian man. He loves to help others and to put the spotlight on someone else, humbly feeling that he is less worthy of it than they. I’m including this clip because of that show of genuine feeling toward others.
This gal has a fabulous voice. The sound quality isn’t great. However, this wasn’t done solely on how well she does the song. Rather, Garth helped inspire her to beat cancer! He promised her to bring her back onstage when she had beaten cancer. That inspired her and Garth held true to his promise.
Garth even did something not common in the music industry. He played a song for this girl that was by Randy Travis, who would normally be considered to be a country music competitor. The girl has a great voice, Garth clearly cares, and this is my contribution for today for the #favorite-things challenge. Thank you to Ghostwriter for initiating this challenge.
I agree. It’s nice to see a celebrity thinking about someone other than himself!
Garth Brooks has sort of made a name for himself for doing that sort of thing. He truly loves his fans and does a lot more than just say it. He shows it. I have another inspirational Garth Brooks video to share, too.
