Some days are simply odd. I have a strange feeling that today is going to be one of those days! I got up thins morning and my husband handed me some mail that had come sometime last. (I am not sure why he had tucked it away, but today he wanted me to open it.) It was a coupon and advertisement for designer toilet paper. As near as I could tell the only difference is that it comes with something like a gift wrapping around each roll for approximately $5.00 (us) per roll.
Several thoughts flew through my head. Who thinks of these things? Are my grandchildren going to start gift wrapping toilet paper? Do people really purchase this? Am I way out of touch with the world at large?
Then my husband announced that he had a commercial that now there is toilet paper where the cardboard center is scented so the bathroom smells better when you give it a spin.

Lots of other things I need and I also have to save money so no designer toilet paper for me. Perhaps if someone wanted to give a special Christmas gift for fun.
Well maybe at Christmas – I had not thought of that.
That designer toilet paper is a good giveaway token for the Christmas season.
Others suggested that as well. Interesting.
I remember seeing the inside cardboard scented awhile back, I guess it didn’t go over too well. Crazy things people with too much money have probably.
I just saw an advertisement on it and I believe it was one of the less expensive brands. I can’t imagine anyone paying more for it. I guess some will though.
Cute photo, but I would not use designer toilet paper lol.
I would not either. I have other priorities.
Way, way back – and I mean more than 60 years ago – I seem to remember toilet paper that had little messages interleaved in it. As you unrolled it, every so often one of these would appear with a verse or uplifting message on it. For some reason my grandmother seemed to like this idea, which is why we had it at home.
Given that she died when I was 5 years old, this is a very old memory! I do, however, remember that she stopped buying it when I behaved like the Andrex puppy and unrolled the whole lot just to find the messages!
That does sound interesting. I do love a good quote.
