I know I have written about the plane crash before. I don’t know if it was here or not. I do know that I hadn’t shared the picture because it was at my Dad’s house. It was a very sobering day in Dillon, Montana. They were flying over the parade route and one of the planes hit the grain elevator. Signs melted, the hairs on my arms were singed. If the planes had the problem going the other directions thousands would have been burned.
It was nerve-racking as I was on the side where the flames were and signs melting, my entire family was on the other side. We couldn’t tell from either side what had happened on the other side.
The other pilot in the first plane followed orders and went straight back to base. It is an image that will forever be in my mind.

what a horrible thing to witness. I have come upon horrific accidents (car crashes) in the past and one other that I can’t talk about, many years ago.
they scar you.
That is a very scary thing to witness. My first husband saw the very first plane hitting the WTC that fateful day in September when the NYC and others were attacked. He was at work across in New Jersey and looked out the window. At first, he thought it was just a very tragic accident. He had no idea what he had just witnessed
That was a very shocking time for all of us. I was talking on the phone with someone when they saw the first plane hit. #kindcomments
What a very scary thing to witness.
It is not something I will ever forget. In fact, I still have a small piece of the jet. #kindcomments
that is something that I wish I will never witness.
I hope you never have to see anything like this. #kindcomments
That was frightening. It is difficult to forget that image. Mine happened in a public bus whose brakes had failed and were in a highway. I thought it was my day to die.
I am glad that you made it through safely. #kindcomments
Goodness, that must have been very scary to witness. Thankfully, I’ve never seen anything like this before.
It was many, many years ago and I can still close my eyes and see the whole thing.
