The cup that cheers

The colour of that cup that cheers shows how it is made.  Some like black tea with nothing added. And there are some who just have a touch of milk with sugar or none at all.

In our household tea plays a important role.  For us it surely is a cup that cheers.  We are particular even of the brand. We got introduced to Lopchu a Darjeeling variety when we were holidaying in Darjeeling.  We both fell for it and it was Lopchu for us for several years until we shifted to this town where it was not marketed.  We are now settled for the Taj but it is nowhere close to the Lopchu that we had chosen to be our brand.

I am particular about the colour of our tea.  It has to be biscuit colour.  A teaspon of leaves for a cup of water is how we make it.  Once the water is boiled the leaves are dropped in but never simmered. Tea is  never simmered  to get the best effect.  I like a good amount of sugar and milk and prefer drinking it when it is quite hot.

I cannot imagine starting my day without that early morning cup.  We used to be tea addicts in the good old days but I have now restricted it to just two cups.

I went online and picked up some  nice tea cups.  Believe it or not.  Tea tastes good if had in cups that are just the right size and they must look pretty too.

I surfed the Net the other day just to see the brands that are marketed and came across the most expensive tea which is Da Hong Pao  sold at $28,000 for 20 grams.  Here is a link that has all the details
