The Color Crazy Challenge 2020 and this week is colored orange. I chose this beautiful amaryllis …. I think it’s orange, but I’m not sure. Amarilis is one of the most popular bulbs. Botanically we call it Hippeastrum. Sometimes, several species of amaryllis were raised, but nowadays only crossbreeds are on the market. These are much larger than the former species because they have giant flowers. In addition, they are represented in all colors. This gives light and dark red, pink and white flowers, and many varieties have two-tone flowers.
