I do not have much to say. Actually, I do not have much to say, never. I’m not a talkative person. That’s why I chose to take pictures. What should I write about photos? A photo has to speak through itself and does not need to be explained. If it does not transmit anything then it should not be published. Photo is the the world’s only universal language. It can be understood by any human being on earth.
This tufted duck is my photo for today Saturday Crittes Challenge. What can I say about aduck? Nothing !
A duck is a duck … is not it?
Happy Saturday!

I know that you don’t talk too much, but I’ll keep asking you to talk for there is a wonderful source within you which I need is a little to brighten up my days.
Why do ducks prefer to swim rather than clawing at the ground like chicken?
Ducks do not like to spoil their manicure!!!! ?They want much space and freedom, so they prefer water (btw , the shape of the claws does not allow them to scratch).
Our hands are more like chicken paws, but why don’t we like to scratch the ground and prefer to swim?
I do not know! Maybe chickens scratch in the ground to look for food, as it happens before they are domesticated. We find food differently! Eventually we humans eat the chickens (I do not eat meat ?)
Amazing answer, Ileana. Actually I want to continue the question, but I’m afraid the duck will be mad at me.
Lovely photo of this duck.
Hmm… I would think Music and perhaps art (of most kind) are universal language!
Music, can be international, but not everyone can perform…
Mathematics, can be considered an international language but not everyone’s a mathematician…
Art can be considered an international language but not everyone’s an artist….
Everyone can take pictures nowadays! That is why I said photo is the the world’s only universal language! Everyone can “speak” it! ?
And that is precisely where the quote came from that says a photo is worth a thousand words. No words are needed with your incredible photography!
Thank you, Carol! As always you have a good words to say about my photos.
Especially of this kind did not meet. Or I just do not know it is of this kind. I like the second picture.
We occasionally see Tufted Ducks in Chicago but they are extremely rare. We had one sighted a few years ago and it was the first in something like 50 years.
They’re not very common either in my area. It was the first time I saw it in the wild. And it was only one!
I love it when you get to see something that you don’t see often.
